Some of the first settlers of this family name or some of its variants were: Fredery Kammerer, who settled in Louisiana in 1721 with his four children. Many Kammerers arrived in Philadelphia in 1751; including Bastian Kammerer and Peter Kammerer. Numerous Kammerers also emigrated to Brazil in 1876. Fred Kammerer arrived in Philadelphia around 1781.
