Some of the first settlers of this family name or some of its variants were: 120 individuals of the lineage who arrived from France onto Canadian shores between 1600 and 1900. Most of them came during the nineteenth century, but a few came earlier, one of which was Charlotte Dalpé, who was married in 1766 in Ile-Dupas, Quebec. Joseph Dalpé was a blacksmith in St-Mark, Quebec in 1851.
