"The manors of Barlandew, Cassacawen, and Trehudreth, [in the parish of Blisland] belonged formerly to the family of Treise, from which family they passed to the Morsheads by marriage; and in 1809 were sold by Sir J. Morshead, bart. to John Wallis, Esq. of Bodmin, who is the present proprietor.
