Research into the origins of individual families in North America revealed records of the immigration of a number of people bearing the name Caddle or a variant listed above: William Blake who came from Essex, England, sailed on the "Mary and John" in 1630 and settled in Dorchester, Massachusetts, Abigail Blake, who was a child sent from hospital in England to Virginia in 1633.
